Google Maps mystery: UFO hunters claim this object is an underwater alien base
GOOGLE maps is an informative mapping service that offers satellite images of locations around the globe. But every now and again strange and peculiar sightings are picked up. One photograph of a specific pin point in Antarctica shows a lonely iceberg that UFO hunters claim is an underwater alien base.

Google Maps is one of the most useful tools available on the internet, allowing people to visit all areas of the world from the comfort of their own home.
But as well as its informative qualities, the site also provides countless entertaining images.
Alongside the ordinary looking residential streets and national parks is everything from the amusing to the downright bizarre.
One particular image shows an isolated iceberg off the coast of Antarctica.

'UFO and alien' sightings revealed by Cambridgeshire Police
Sightings of aliens and UFOs have been reported to police in Cambridgeshire six times in two years, new figures show.
The force was asked in a Freedom of Information request how many 999 and 101 calls it had received during 2015, 2016 and 2017.
It reported three calls mentioning "alien" and three referencing "UFO". Two of the reported sightings took place in 2015 and four in 2016.

The strange phenomena, described as an orb of light inside a disk-shaped purple haze, continues to make headlines worldwide after being captured on camera.
In the latest case, The Irish Sun reported that a "bizarre UFO" was pictured in daylight above County Leitrim, which it said was a UFO hotspot.
The newspaper website described it as an "eerie snap of a UFO," and said it had been recorded as a sighting by the Filer’s Research Institute, the US-based National UFO Center, run by Major George A. Filer, who spent 20 years in the Air Force working as an intelligence officer, and is now convinced aliens exist.
The Irish Sun warded of sceptics, saying: "Before you dismiss it as a picture of the moon at night – the image was taken in broad daylight."
It called on astronomer Eamonn Ansbro of Kingsland Observatory in Boyle, Co Roscommon, for his view.
He said he thought the latest sighting could be a new form of light known as a plasma ball.
He said: "There’s a similar ball of light that has been seen in a place called Hessdalen in Norway.
“I know the people who operate there and they have automated instrumentation that has recorded them, and we’ve had recordings here as well.
“It appears to be a new form of light in physics that we don’t know about yet, so we’re putting the physics to it to see what it’s about.”
But, Express.co.uk can reveal that the object in question is actually a common form of lens flare - meaning there was nothing outside the camera when the snap was taken.

A new alleged witness to the Roswell UFO crash will be revealed in book UFOs Today.
The testimony will be revealed in a new book, set to be published on Thursday, Express.co.uk can reveal.
The book, titled UFOs TODAY - 70 Years of Lies, Misinformation, and Government Cover-Up, has been penned by Dr Irena Scott, who gained a PhD in physiology from the University of Missouri.
Dr Scott said: "This book features the testimony of a former US Deputy Sheriff who was an alleged witness to the UFO crash at Roswell in 1947.
"This gentleman’s unique testimony will be published here for the first time."
Roswell has been at the heart of the UFO scene since in July 1947 the military sensationally announced in a press release it had found the remains of a crashed flying saucer in the desert nearby.
But the following day it retracted the statement, saying it was in fact a damaged US Air Force air balloon.
Witnesses later came forward to say there had been alien bodies within the "crashed craft", which along with the wreckage were then taken to the mysterious top-secret Area 51 military base in Nevada.
It has gone on to become the biggest UFO conspiracy theory on record.

Photos: Arizona witness describes six hovering discs

An Arizona witness traveling by train through Apache County reported watching and photographing six hovering, “two-story” objects beaming light to the ground level, according to testimony in Case 83376 from the Mutual UFO Network (Mufon) witness reporting database.
The case was reported for the witness – who had the experience on April 14, 2017.
“My mother was traveling through the Arizona desert via train, on her way to Texas,” she stated. “She was unable to sleep due to movement of the train. She said she was looking out of the cabin window and saw a very bright light that became brighter as the train approached.”

Photographer captures ‘UFO’ over Kelpies in Falkirk

An amateur photographer believes she may have captured a UFO hovering over the Kelpies on camera.
Heather McEwan, from Falkirk, took some shots of the famous landmark on Sunday just after 10pm but didn’t notice anything at the time.
It wasn’t until the following day she noticed a “strange” cross-shaped object in the sky to the right of the head of Baron, the 30-metre high ‘head up’ Kelpie.

The interest of Britain’s World War 2 Prime Minister has been revealed after the discovery of his 11-page essay titled “Are We Alone in the Universe?”
The politician known for his cigar-chomping discusses the possibility of life on Mars and Venus in the newly discovered article.
Churchill suggested that Mars and Venus were the only two planets in the Solar System that could conceivably harbor life other than Earth due to their distance from the Sun.
The essay was never published and it remained undiscovered for years as it ended up in the U.S. National Churchill Museum, located in Fulton, Missouri in the 1980s.

The discovery came so quickly that the telescope, the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) near Geraldton in Western Australia, looks set to become a world champion in this fiercely competitive area of astronomy.
The new fast radio burst finding was published today in The Astrophysical Journal Letters. ‘Fast radio bursts’ or FRBs are short, sharp spikes of radio waves lasting a few milliseconds.

“It brings back old memories,” said retired US Air Force colonel Charles Halt on his return to the spot where, in December 1980, he was at the centre of a UFO mystery in Rendlesham Forest.
As deputy commander of Bentwaters and Woodbridge bases, Mr Halt wrote a memo to the Ministry of Defence describing the incident, and recorded what became known as the Halt Tape – made public the following year.

It was something that put his family life into upheaval and remains one of the world's best-known UFO encounters.
"I recalled seeing him in bed. He didn't look good at all. He looked pale, haggard," said Michalak, who was nine years old at the time and was allowed to see his dad for a couple of minutes on the day after what soon become known as the Falcon Lake incident.

Still, how would Pixabay feel if a Russian news site, Pravda.ru ― ironically, the name means “truth” ― took that same picture, added two more black dots, called them all UFOs and claimed this was, in fact, a picture captured by a NASA “STEREO spacecraft”?
